The continuing airworthiness (CA) section sets up processes and procedures to ensure the airworthiness of the Emirates fleet. Emirates Engineering is approved by authorities such as the UAE GCAA, EASA and FAA to undertake airworthiness maintenance, and the CA section manages the various engineering function procedure manuals relating to this.

The department's audit plans encompass inspections of aircraft cabin standards, line stations, material and part suppliers, repair agents, fuelling facilities, aircraft portable water facilities and the IAW IATA Fuel Quality Pool (IFQP), as well as audits of third party technical handling agents. The IAW IATA airport handling manual is also inspected and maintained to the recommendations and standards set down by the World Health Organisation. Our quality assurance department holds CAR 145, FAR 145, EASA Part-145, EASA Part-21 and ISO 9000 engineering approvals.
